“CareCaller” is Zippy Zebra′s answer to serve the data collection needs of organisations providing an outbound calling service.
Who is it for?
Primarily aimed at the needs of teams providing a social service, e.g. befriending and linkline services, the application allows the users to capture contact details for their clients and setup diary events for individuals within the team to manage the outbound calls.
How does it work?
The product is offered on a hosted service basis, which takes care of any worries about data backups, security, and system availability (as long as your users have access to the internet).
Once a contact has been created in CareCaller, their details are available to anyone in the team, including call content logs thus allowing the organisation to maintain continuity even if the normal caller is unavailable on a given day, holidays and sickness for example.
The team manager can oversee the whole teams diaries and alter and assign workloads as necessary, to ensure all clients receive the correct level of service.
CareCaller also takes care of referral details, so that referrals to other organisations, health, social services, and emergency services are tracked and can be reported on.
The reporting capability of CareCaller will provide invaluable information for both the organisation using it and also any associated services.
How secure is it?
The way that CareCaller has been built ensures that only people registered with the service will be able to access data for the organisation, the CareCaller User login process, restricts access levels both within and outside the organisation, that is to say that each organisation can have levels of access, e.g. Manager, Team Leader and Team member to control who sees and can access what within the organisation. People from other organisations will not be able to access your organisations data.
How much does it cost?
Here at Zippy Zebra we understand that organisations wishing to use our CareCaller product are likely to be in the voluntary sector and as such have limited income, or access only to small amounts of funding.
Our pricing structure is designed in such a way to minimise the cost of the service in return for your support in the propogation of the service to similar organisations.
Our CareCaller service is available on a monthly charge basis, which takes away the need to raise large sums of money to buy it up front.All we ask is that you agree to use it for a minimum of 6 months (This is to cover the costs of setting it up for each organisation and training in how to use it).
Our charges are £125 per calendar month + vat*.

North Staffs LinkLine
North Staffs LinkLine is a charity that provides a telephone befriending service for the elderly.
When we began this project we recorded our information on paper creating a separate record for each client. Using the CareCaller software has meant that we can still maintain individual records but also data can be easily recalled by using the Report Facility. This has proved invaluable not only when analysing project activity but also when compiling applications for grants. It certainly saves time when collating data. It is possible to also make some aspects of the data collection individual to our organisation, which makes it even more functional. The diary system means that the volunteers are organised each morning with their workload and the traffic light arrangement clearly identifies any problems that need addressing. It has been easy for the volunteers to learn how to use; from the experienced computer user to the absolute beginner. In fact the volunteers have commented how much they like using the system.
